The X-Files KidsCast of Characters |
Here's just about all you need to know for the comics to make sense, though they'll make a lot more sense if you're familiar with the show. The comic takes place when the kids are in third grade and, improbably, most of them are in the same class. | |
Dana Scully The brains of the operation. She's skeptical and practical, and unfortunately, in the world of "The X-Files," that means she's wrong about 99% of the time. She may call Mulder a boogerhead sometimes but deep down, they're best friends. |
Fox Mulder As in the show, Mulder's always looking for aliens and monsters and stuff, and often needs to be reigned in by Scully. |
Monkey the monkey Scully and Mulder's trusty sidekick. Unlike his high-strung human companions, Monkey is pretty mellow. He really likes bananas. Originally, he talked mostly in the form of monkey sounds but I've since decided that the monkeys can talk like humans. |
Alex Krycek (and Stinky) Krycek isn't exactly the bad guy but he's not so good either. He's amoral and motivated entirely by self-interest, which makes him a lot of fun to write. The only person Krycek looks out for besides himself is Stinky, his cute, and equally devious, pet rat. Stinky is usually loyal but can be bribed with snacks. |
Petunia the monkey Unlike Monkey, Petunia's not content to be anyone's sidekick. She started out as a minor character but I got to like her and she eventually became my pirate monkey captain. Petunia has poofy yellow hair and a bad attitude. |
The Lone Gunmen Mulder's friends. Frohike, Langley and Byers are nerdy and can be very helpful. They're some of my favorite characters but I haven't found space for them much in the comics so far. |
Walter Skinner Skinner is a stern but well-meaning high school kid with a crew cut. He's the kids' unfortunate camp counsellor in issue #3. |
Marita Covarrubias She appears in issue #3 as Scully's cabinmate. She has a funny hairdo and a thing for Krycek. |
Diana Scully's evil nemesis. She likes Mulder and will pretend to agree with him because she thinks that's what he wants to hear. Scully isn't too fond of her, to say the least. |
