Pirate Monkey "Mad Libs"

For those of you who've been living under a rock (which is a perfectly suitable place for a pirate monkey to live, don't get me wrong), "Mad Libs" is a game where you fill in a bunch of words and those words are inserted into a story. The funny part is that you don't know what the story is ahead of time, so the words you put in might not make any sense in the context of the story! Um. It'll seem funnier when you play it.

Pirate Monkey Dice Poker

This game is an old tradition among pirate monkeys, who had to play with dice instead of cards because the cards would get damp on those stormy nights at sea. Seriously. I didn't just make it up.

The rules are simple: click Deal (you automatically have to ante 1 banana); you see your hand and place your bet (type in a bet and click "Bet"), then the House's hand will be revealed and whoever has the better hand wins.
The winning hands are as follows: straight beats five of a kind beats full house beats four of a kind beats two pairs beats three of a kind beats one pair beats high card.

Petals Around the Rose

 The name of this game is "Petals Around the Rose." The name is significant. It is played with five dice. Each roll of the dice gives a score that will always be an even number (it can be zero). Roll the dice and figure out what the score is, then click the "check score" button to see if you're right. If you get it right 6 times in a row then you've probably figured it out and therefore you are cool.

I didn't make up this game; you can find more info about it (and an anecdote about a bunch of Microsoft bigwigs playing it in an airport) on this site. It's a fun program to write but it can also be played with real dice.
